Description
@copy;Gill Billington. All rights reserved. This image is a close up of the corner of the Criterion Building in Piccadilly, London, overlooking Coventry Street and the Haymarket. Photographed here with one of the old fashioned street lamps in the foreground you can see the striking sculpture of three gold nude ladies diving off the roof.
They are above the sculpture of the four bronze horses of Helios and were made by the same artist, Rudy Weller. They are made of aluminium and covered in gold leaf and look stunning as the sun hits them. These three graces are also called the daughters of Helios who was the Greek God of the Sun.
